Anesthesia

Dr. Hiranaka will determine if local anesthesia, intravenous sedation or general anesthesia is recommended.  His clinical staff are anesthesia assistants trained through the American Association of Oral Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS).  If full anesthesia is warranted, Dr. Hiranaka works with fully credentialed anesthesiologists who will administer and supervise the procedure.

Before your surgery, Dr. Hiranaka will review the type of anesthetic to be used and how you are likely to feel during and after the operation. We want you to feel comfortable. Please ask if you have any questions or concerns.
